Pearls and Orchids shine together at Baselworld as Autore displays its latest collection.
Autore's vision is simple: Source the highest quality pearls in all the world, nurturing carefully chosen oysters in pearl farms from the north west coast of western Australia to the tropical islands of Indonesia, then grade them using hand and eye. Some are then distributed to the most prestigious jewellery houses and others are crafted into Autore's own creations.
At Baselworld last week, Autore unveiled their latest collection, 'Orchid', an amalgamation of two of nature's most treasured. With the annual event being a luxurious watch and jewellery feast for buyers, press and designers, it was only fitting for the leading South Sea pearl specialists to be there.
The Orchid collection includes earrings in white and yellow gold, the orchids recreated with blue sapphires and white diamonds exemplifying the flowers' luminosity. Orange and yellow sapphires and white diamonds are like flames from an explosion of exoticism and twinkling rounded rims make way for a single pearl which hangs slickly from it.
