Emerging from the runway: Spring '15 couture

Oh the dresses, the beautiful dresses. And the accessories too. Here's a look at some that took to the runway at this season's couture shows.

Elie Saab
Elie Saab took a trip back to his past, revisiting Beirut and his 60's childhood. While the designer's beauty tends to come from the fairy tale elegance and the shimmering of a single colour, this season inspiration was taken from nature and his mother's tulips. The flower, in a timeless gold,  trails down the hand, surrounded by a cluster of pearls to form the most exquisite of hand adornments.

Chanel
After six months of preparation, huge white flowers decorated the Chanel set, opening up mechanically and sprouting colour, a vibrant paper forest forming as the show began. While couture is renowned for its intricacy and detailing of the highest luxury, Karl's vision is intertwined with a relatable youthfulness that, in this collection, is present through the beanies embellished with child-like plastic flowers.

Valentino
Subtle and romantic, the flowers fastened to the neatly styled hair at Valentino coincided with its Folkloric theme. Inspired by the artist Marc Chagall, each outfit had its connection to his paintings and the hair accessories prettily stood out like the painted bouquet of flowers on a Chagall mystical dark background.
